We install heat pumps right across greater Christchurch, from Riccarton, Papanui, Halswell and the eastern suburbs out to Kaiapoi, Rangiora and North Canterbury, plus Rolleston, Lincoln and the wider Selwyn district. Not sure if we reach you? Send us your suburb and we'll tell you straight.

The Christchurch suburbs and towns we cover

We work all over the city and out onto the plains. That means the central suburbs like Riccarton and Papanui, out west to Halswell, and across to New Brighton and the eastern side. North of the Waimakariri we cover Kaiapoi and up into heat pump installation in Rangiora and North Canterbury.

To the south and west we're regularly fitting heat pumps in Rolleston and Selwyn, including Lincoln and the newer subdivisions out that way. If you're on the edge of these areas, just ask. We'd rather tell you yes or no up front than have you guess.

Why your suburb changes what we install

Christchurch weather is hard on heating. We get hard overnight frosts, cold southerlies driving through, and foggy inversions that sit over the plains for days. Then the nor'west blows in hot and dry over summer. A unit needs to handle both ends without struggling.

Where you are matters. Homes out at Rolleston and Rangiora cop colder, longer frosts than sheltered inner-city spots, so we size and place units with that in mind. Frost defrost cycles and outdoor unit siting make a real difference on those still, freezing mornings. It's the sort of detail a national chain quoting off a floor plan tends to miss.

Old bungalows and new builds need different plans

The housing across Canterbury is a real mix. We do plenty of post-quake rebuilds and new subdivision homes that are tight and well insulated, where a smaller unit does the job easily. Then there are the older uninsulated brick and timber bungalows that leak heat, so they need more grunt to stay warm through a southerly.

The right choice depends on the house, not just the room size. If you want to weigh up your options first, have a look at the different heat pump installation Christchurch approaches we use, and what a job usually runs to on our heat pump installation cost page.

Servicing after we've installed

One thing to be straight about: we only service and repair the heat pumps we installed ourselves. We don't take on other companies' installs. It keeps us across every unit we look after and means we know the job from day one.

So if we fitted your heat pump, we've got you covered for a clean and check down the track. If someone else installed yours, the best thing we can do is quote you on a new install. Where to next: if you're ready, get a free quote and tell us your suburb.

Questions about the areas we cover

What areas around Christchurch do you install heat pumps in?

We install right across greater Christchurch. That covers the central city and suburbs like Riccarton, Papanui and Halswell, the eastern suburbs including New Brighton, and out onto the plains. If you're near the edges, flick us your suburb and we'll confirm.

Do you install heat pumps in Rangiora and Rolleston?

Yes to both. We regularly install in Rangiora and up through North Canterbury, and south into Rolleston, Lincoln and the wider Selwyn district. Those areas get colder frosts, so we size and site the unit to suit.

Do you cover the eastern suburbs and Banks Peninsula?

Yes, we cover the eastern suburbs including New Brighton and around that way. Banks Peninsula is more of a case-by-case thing depending on where exactly you are, so give us a call on 03 222 3413 and we'll let you know.
