Ducted systems cost more than single split units because there's the central unit, the ducting and the install labour on top. Can you retrofit ducted heating into an existing house?
You can, but it's more work than fitting it during a build. We need enough ceiling space to run the ducts and access to route them to each room, which is easier in single-storey homes.
